A pathfinder’s name matters. A few of you crossed the threshold only to find the Ledger had scrawled Adventurer-something where your name belonged — that wrong has been undone for those it touched, and can never happen again. This patch is about the Order paying better attention: to your name, your triumphs, and to telling you when something new is ready.
New in this patch
- Your name, kept — the name you choose at the gate now follows you all the way to the sealing of your likeness. The mirror is prefilled with it, and the seal will not close on an empty name — no pathfinder will ever again be branded with the Ledger’s cold default.
- Level-ups, celebrated — rising a level is no longer a quiet line of text. The realm pauses to mark it: your new level, your new rank, and the sting to go with it.
- The relic on your quest — a held quest that carries a relic now shows it. Tap the ward to study its traits before you finish the deed; fortune is rolled when you take the quest, not when you complete it.
- Word of new versions — when a newer build of Outdare is live, the app now tells you: a notice arrives, and Settings → About carries an Update available writ pointing you to TestFlight (iOS) or a fresh download (Android). No more wondering whether you walk with the latest.
- Lost words, honest answers — asking for a password reset now tells the truth: if your account entered through Google or Facebook, the Order says so instead of sending nothing.
Beneath the surface
The Order’s pool of quests has learned to tend itself — new wordings are admitted only past the judge’s eye, put through a short probation, and retired if they disappoint, so the board stays fresh without a hand on the tiller. On shared devices, each account now keeps its own beginnings: a second pathfinder at the same table gets their own welcome, their own name, their own oath.
